Laboratory Introduction

Warshel Institute for ComputationalBiology (the “Institute”) is the first Nobel Laureate Lab established inCUHKSZ. The Nobel Laureate Lab is one of the important parts for Shenzhen"Top Ten Action Plan". Arieh Warshel, the Nobel laureate in Chemistryin 2013, is the dean and academic leader for the Institute.

Warshel Institute for ComputationalBiology intended to become one of the world’s most advanced computationalbiology centers, conducting research on cutting-edge biotechnologies(structural biology, molecular medicine, multi-scale biomolecule simulations,high-throughput Genome Sequencing analysis and translational research of genediagnosis technology). Professor Warshel wishes to turn this institute into aplatform where top researchers from around the world can collaborate andcontribute. Meanwhile, the institute is to serve as a hub to boost significantglobal cooperative projects and to become a multidisciplinary educationalcenter, nurturing young computational biologists.

The Institute will help to attractexcellent researchers and open up new opportunities for Longgang and Shenzhenwith respect to life science industry.

Position Specification

Dutiesinclude as follows:

1. Plan and execute promotional activitiesfor the institute, including event planning, writing and designing promotionalmaterials.

2. Assist team members in arrangingbusiness trip, including flight bookings, hotel accommodations, andtransportation, ensuring smooth travel experiences.

3. Organize conference and otheractivities and events.

4. Responsible for reimbursements anddaily affairs for research group.

Qualifications & Requirements:

1. A Bachelor degree or above;

2. At least 1 years'post-qualificationadministrative or relevant experience, preferably inthe tertiary education sector;

3.Excellent command of both writtenand spoken English and Chinese;

4. Excellent interpersonal, communicationand organizational skills ;

5. Ability to adapt to changing prioritiesand work under pressure.

Salary & Benefits

Salary will be competitive, commensuratewith qualifications and experience. Appointments will be made under theestablishment of CUHK-Shenzhen and statutory benefits will be providedaccording to the prevailing labor laws applicable in the PRC. The appointeewill be based at the University campus in Shenzhen, PRC.
